Do we need a 2020 UFA retainment thread with the latest rules on that subject? Before we go further...Can we try to square away some of the issues that we have been discussing during the season! UFA Retainment, Sign and Trade of UFA, etc...I can't really think of any of the issues at the moment, but I am certain the people who have been involved with issues can point them out....Things need to be tightened up before we continue to go forward. |

I agree Matt. I think there should be a curve depending upon the players UFA asking price. Starting at 65 FP's and going up in increments of 10 for each million. Or something along those lines. For example, this year Couturier was asking 11 Mil, versus Czikas asking 3 Mil ( asking prices estimated, because I dont recall actual prices )....With the current rules, it will cost 65 points to sign/retain a stud as it would a 3rd line checking center. Doesn't seem right. This for example... |

Not as of yet and Chris brings up a good point. The details still need to be set in stone before guys can make these decisions. Let me re-digest what we discussed prior.
