Well, today is the 23rd, so if we're not starting RFA until "mid next week", Wednesday would be the 28th, giving at least a week for the RFA bidding process (if no one is bid on) would put us at Aug. 4th, so it's looking like a guarantee that we won't make decisions on who we release to UFA until well after the NHL UFA period is underway.

Also, its a 2 day window for each bidding period regardless if there are any bids or not so we have more like 1.5 to 2 weeks for that process to play out as well. My goal is to shoot for Wednesday night to start with the first reveal being done Thursday night. |

Why not start it ASAP? Pretty sure most of us are ready to go anyhow. As long as you are able to, that is.

Need some lead time to ready the back-end (much like the charged wards of several of the GMs). Plus, want to make sure everyone is aware.

If they aren't aware by now, they never will be...I still expect Montreal to show up at any moment

Still not sure if he had planned on doing any FA stuff but I think I still ended up handling it after noticing he wasn’t making any moves after a few rounds. |
