OK, when I look at Tkachuk I see that his position is listed as RW on his sportsforecaster page.

That is where I am pulling these players positions from. If you can find another page on the same site that shows other, please let me know and I will see if I can scrape and use it.

Glenn, didn’t you use to pull positions from the roster section of the forecaster and not on the individual player page? That could be where the discrepancy is coming from.

Teravainen is showing up as LW/RW on the Carolina roster (sportsforecaster.com/nhl/roster/l.nhl.com-t.6) but only as LW ( sportsforecaster.com/nhl/p/19532/Teuvo_Teravainen) on his individual page.

I'm noticing that players are showing multi-positionality in the drop-drop menu on the "Up/Down" portion of the line-up page, but those positions do not appear to be displayed elsewhere.

I see that too - positions are more accurate in the 'set lineup' pull down as Lance mentioned.

Was this a issue a few years back? I thought the players position was pulled multiple times through out the year. Now are the positions what they played last year or are the projected for the year coming up?

Draisaitl historically has had a wing/c card but is just a center this year.

Listed as a winger/center on the team page but as a center on his individual page.

OK, I will look to grab the data from the roster page if that seems to be a better source of positions.

positions can change from year to year. This is based, I have always assumed, on what positions they played int he prior year.

This past year we had to scrape the data a little differently and I was pulling to the position from the player pages. I have now pulled it from the roster and I think this is what folks were expecting.

I ran a query to populate with what was on the team roster page back in May. I ran this query yesterday afternoon. I think this should be good now.

I'm going through UFA's and many of their player cards do not show what is showing on the team pages
