So season is live tomorrow night, and contracts haven't been fleshed out yet... so, if a team records games and is then found to be non compliant, how awkward will that be?

NHL season is set to start Tuesday Oct 10...But, yeah, I agree with you Scott. The contracts/contracted players should be done BEFORE any regular season stats are accrued.

I will have the contract length page posted later today.
I would have had it done yesterday but when I was reviewing my team, I noted that Alex Nylander was not showing as coming off a bridge (meaning, should have been showing as able to be signed to 4 years max). That got me checking and identifying this happening whenever players were deferred for a year and on a bridge contract. I have identified the fix but wanted to make sure it was solid before implementing.
Teams will be given a week to get the finances in order. I think we had a similar case a few years back where final contract lengths were not finalized until a few days into the season.
No awkwardness needed.

Contract term page is up. You can access this by clicking on the UFA Bidding tab. I would like everyone to complete the contract length assignments by Saturday 10/14.

He was in the finals and we always kick off our season with a rematch of the finals. That coupled with back to back games for whichever NHL team Cincy's schedule is paired with has caused this anomaly

Because the goalie fatigue logic is turned off for the first few weeks there is no negative impacts to the team for this. This certainly would play a part if it were to happen once the goalie freshness (color) logic kicks in.

Everyone is currently cap compliant however there are a few teams that appear to need to make decisions before all of the contracts are finalized. I plan on finalizing all of the contract decisions tomorrow so please get these completed by end of day today.
I will reach out to owners that look like they haven't had a chance to do theirs as of yet.

I have implemented a change that will make it easier to get to the game box score from the Game Central (Games in Progress) page. Once all games for a night are completed, The Box, the [Game in Progress]/[Game Completed] banner will change to [Box Score]. Clicking the Box Score banner will then take you to the box score for the game. As usual, post in the technical issues forum if something doesn't seem to be working.   |
