Weak draft year for us. Something like 23 of the top 30 rookie scorers are already owned in the GHL. Those of you who are great at finding those diamonds in the rough will love this year.

I have a little homework for someone to do. I have about 110 players under pro contract that need to be researched to determine their status (Europe, Retired, FA, etc.)
Please reply here with your availability and I will get the spreadsheet sent off to you.
Thanks!

I don't know how soon you need it, but I could get it back to you no later than a week from today.

Made a few cosmetic changes to the website this AM. I decided to clean up all (I think all) of the areas where OT periods were showing as 4 for OT, 5 for double OT, etc. You will see these changes on the homepage in the results section and in the game details page as well. I also included the period a game ended on the front page in the series section if it went into OT. As I type this I just remembered that I need to update the penalties on the game detail page as well.
I will be spending a good amount of time this weekend on the cards. Not only are they being generated, I am modifying the scaling of these as I had mentioned in previous posts. The Composite scores will be on a base 1-120 scale as opposed to the current 0-60 scale. This is also being done for their shoot/shot/passing ratings as well.
I also am tinkering with removing a few of the extraneous ratings and going with 5 sub category ratings for OFF/DEF/NEUT (as opposed to the 6/6/7 format we have now). I will post these new rating categories in a little bit.

Made some changes on the player cards page over the weekend to incorporate the newer 100 based ratings. Also adding a little something extra to this page (players personal best (goals, pts, BS, etc.), players all time summary and also players year to date stat summary).

Everything on the player cardz looks the same as before for me other than goalie cardz and even then, it only appears that the columns have shifted over the right a bit.

The changes have not been completed yet and are not yet reflected on the site.

Now that the season is officially over (well, except for the awards that is), I have made backups of all the stat tables and am working on the cards as I speak. I also put some logic in place to track GWG, GTG, and OTG as well.

Depending on how work goes this week these should be coming soon.
Here are a few changes I made to thecards and some minor tweaks to some algorithms (so far)
1) 100 based ratings for off/def/neut/shoot/shot/pass (and maybe blocked shot, faceoff and PIM as well) 2) changed the way off composite score was calculated. In the past this was predicated by the time on the ice between goals and assists. This has been tweaked to non shorthanded time on the ice between non shorthanded goals and assists 3) Nerfing guys with few games played is not nearly as bad as in the past for NHLers. If the nerfed rating is less than the average composite score (off/def/neut) then the average score is used. I can do this because we have 5 years of history (in some cases) to draw from
