This past weekend, I grabbed all of the NHL stats which will feed into the player card generation process in the near future. I believe the AHL wraps up this weekend so I will grab those stats early next week. I had an epiphany last night while watching the playoffs and am looking for some assistance in tracking down a site with all NHL historical player stats going at least as far back as 1942. I know about www.hockeydb.com and we could weed through this taking screen scrapes of each teams roster and stats for each year. I am hoping to be able to get access to a large chunk of this data without having to go through the team year by team year page for page. I anticipate only being able to get the primary stats, GP, G, A, PIM etc but if more can be found, more is better. These stats are critical for the idea that popped into my head last night. More info coming later. If anyone has any ideas or success finding this information, please post it here.

Looks like you can go to each season, and get all the stats for each skater and goalie in the league that year as well as all of the other data/stats for that year

Player Card update - I will verify that the AHL season wrapped up last night and start pulling stats for AHLers soon afterwards. I will also be grabbing the bio data for all of the NHLers (from The HockeyNews web site) and the AHLers bios as well.

Draft spreadsheet has been created. We can do a skype session later this week to witness the lottery pick goodness. I am thinking Thursday night in between some periods of any games going on that night.

It looks like tonight will be the night for the draft lottery. Scott and Brian both said they can make it so we will have our internal auditors watching to make sure there are no shenanigans. There wouldn't be anyways but it's better to have transparency for the process. We hadn't nailed down a time but I suggest we do this as soon as the 3rd period ends in the Isles/Caps game. I imagine this will be 9:30. If you can make it we will be using Skype and my Skype userid is gbobb3.
Results will be posted on this thread immediately afterwards.
Unless there are strenuous objections supported with just cause not to do so, next year we will be in lock step with the NHL and the top 3 picks will be determined via lottery. Each non playoff team will be signed a NHL team corresponding to each teams order of finish.
Hope you can make it tonight.
Good luck.
