I am all for refining this process if we are able to make it more realistic while still maintaining it as a tool to keep backup goalies from getting over used. Also, I think a sense of perspective is needed when looking at goalie status. Even (green) means he is operating at 100%. Blue (+1) means he could be operating at slightly above 100%. Goalies are not negatively impacted until they are -1. The +1 status is a bonus that goalies that are horses receive for being full time starters. That is why I brought it up in the first place. Smith has a 10 in fortitude and stamina. If anybody classifies as a workhorse it's him. I agree and there is room for tweaking as necessary. because he is a 10 he stays Fresh (+1) longer then anyone lower than him and even when he dips down into the green, he is still operating at 100% of his card. He is not penalized for being green.

Just want to put this out there, so the new guys understand, and to remind the veteran Gm's...
GOALIE USE: If you decide to use the "Percentage" technique to choose your Game Day Goalie...be aware, that the computer MAY select your weaker goalie on a particular night. I think it might be better to actually place the goalie of YOUR choice into action on Game Nights by selecting him at 100% and placing the weaker ( not desired ) goalie at 0%. It my be a pain in the butt to go in and change your goalie percentages on a daily basis, but it guarantees that you are getting the goalie that YOU chose!!!!
Word to the wise!

Very good advice, I always hand select my goalies just because it's a roll of the dice, even if you set a guy at 5%, he could get selected 3 games in a row. On the flip side, he could never get selected and the sim may play your starter into the ground.

Good points. Also you need to keep the goalies seasonal workload in mind as well because total games played plays a factor in determining their freshness later in the season and into the playoffs.

All is well. Because the sample size is very small these will stay blue longer tat the beginning of the season (1 or 2 weeks).
Remember, year to date usage is determined as well so even though guys are playing low stamina guys hard early, this will impact there status at the end of the season as well.

Everyone has a goalie still at plus? Have goalie fatigues changed since last year?

I learned 'the way of the dual backups' last year...twas a hard lesson where I used Clemmonson only @ 10% more and it caught up to me at the END of the season when I rested him for 8 games and STILL couldn't get him back to blue/+1.
Be CAREFUL at the start and middle of the season with your rotation or no matter what, your 3,4 or 5 Stamina backup will never get back to blue...

This morning Anderson was green, penciled him in the lineup for the game, Irving played instead, and Anderson ends up -1.

Could be nothing, But...
The Goalie "Color Status" is not appearing on Match Ups.
ie: Suffolk Vs Philadelphia
