can someone dig up the old thread that has the math on it. You can then place the cost associated with the waiver as well.

Barring some Miracle where his card is not in the single digits Hamilton will be waiving Josh Harding
Adjusted Salary 5,495,000 Years 6 Unadjusted 5,495,000/.875=6,280,000 Yearly Savings 6,280,000-5,495,000=785,000 Years Remaining 5 One time cap hit of 3,925,000
Just checking this cap hit will come off next year correct? This is by far the most expensive buyout in FHL history...feel dumb signing him out to that massive contract.

Actually old Sid the Kid was bought out after year one at a price tag of 6M I do believe. Also, the cap hit applies to the current year and then falls off completely next year.

Does Avery have a card? if no, does he count against my cap?

Not sure if he had a card or not but one way or another he hits your books until his contract is done or you use your compliance buyout to buy him out. The only way around this is if he was injured for an entire year or playing in Europe.

Im hoping he has a card with a FORT of 2 so I can park his irritating ass. If not, I'm waiving him.

Avery will not have a card this season, he did not play anywhere, including overseas. He will have to be waived in order to get rid of his worthless $3+M salary.

Based on the deadline deal made between Toronto and Suffolk, an agreement was made where I traded Holmstrom to Suffolk but agreed at the end of the season Toronto would take Holmstrom back. gtgfhl.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gentrade&action=display&thread=2176&page=1So with this I would like to waive Holmstrom. Adjusted Salary 4,819,500 Years 5 Unadjusted 4,819,500/.9=4,337,550 Yearly Savings 5,355,000-4,819,500=535,500 Years Remaining 4 One time cap hit of 2,142,000

One of my stipulations of that trade was based on whether or not Holmstrom's contract could be waived without penalty. Because we couldnt get confirmation from Glenn prior to the trade, we added a stip that Toronto would reacquire Tomas at the conclusion of the season. Hence, what Dan said.

SHADY...that stipulation should of been spelled out before the deal was approved...

Boys. I clearly spelled out in the post what his status was and gave you both a chance to back out of the deal. From my standpoint Holmstrom is still property of Suffolk and liable for Hollmstroms contract. Loaning of players is not permitted for obvious reasons.
That being said I would be willing to discuss this situation with Chris and/or Dan in private. Contact me by PM if you would like to discuss.
