Sorry, you can't retain minor league signings if they don't play, that's the inherent risk of not signing a player to a contract That’s how I lost Binnington some 5 years ago. Just the risk with minimum contracts.

So the expiring RFAs are new to me. Can we still retain the rights of these guys for the obligatory 100k or not? Are they still RFAs upon return to the league?

Anybody? I have two guys in this situation and need a ruling to determine if I am keeping them or have to see them walk off knowing they’ll be back next year

Goulbourne, TyrellLW Sturtz, Andrew RW Osipov, Dmitry D Ouellette-St. Amant, Shawn They all must be given a 50% 'raise' / increase to keep the each year unless you want to sign them to a big boy contract - anything 500K and over.

No, RFAs. I saw earlier that minor leaguers are specifically unretainable but what about guys on ELC coming out of their first contract. Specifically Ranford, Langhammer, and Shore for me. Also would they need a new contract before retaining or would I need to wait until they have a card again

Yes, you can retain an RFA without a card for 100k, and yes, the RFA status slides until they have a card again. This is set up mostly to catch players who are returned to their junior clubs, because it would be a shame to lose these players especially.

Will have my list up sometime soon

Jonas Johansson is an RFA—why can’t I resign him? He's not an RFA. He's a prospect, his contract isn't up until 2023 right now. You don't need to re-sign him, he's under contract already.

I hope I'm doing this correctly:
Buyout - Steve Mason $100k retention - Nikolai Kulemin Release - Jordan Samuels-Thomas (plied his trade in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga [Austria] and ECHL in 18/19)
