No, my first draft order was done using NHL rules for the seedings for the playoff teams

Updated using GHL rules, sorry for the confusion boys. Glenn, if you could merge this with the previous thread of the lottery results. I also added Oregon into the 3 spot, as they were left off my last list. 1. Pittsburgh 2. Washington 3. Oregon 4. Moncton 5. Baltimore 6. Chicago 7. Calgary 8. Milwaukee 9. Hamilton 10. Edmonton 11. Cleveland 12. Hershey 13. Montreal 14. Syracuse 15. New Jersey 16. Quebec 17. St. Paul 18. Hartford 19. Cornwall 20. Philadelphia 21. Detroit 22. Boston 23. Colorado 24. Toronto 25. Seattle 26. Suffolk 27. Adirondack 28. Alaska 29. Johnstown 30. New York 31. Cincinnati 32. Halifax Will do. Thanks Scotty

It's long since time we implemented a draft system that doesn't reward tanking.
And, while commending the strategy, how is it that the best franchise in the league has 5 first round draft picks and an obscene number of picks? Oh boy.

Simple... teams continue to trade their first rounders to him and then wonder why he beats them every year. 🤔

While the Barons have historically been a good team I think it's important to note that after the 2020 season I started undergoing a rebuild. I really thought I would end up as one of the worst teams in the league, but I still managed to finish 9th in the conference. With that said, I made a concerted effort to move whatever capital I had (Pavelski, Slavin, Burns) this offseason to obtain more 1sts. I have a couple of good young players, but for the most part the cupboard is bare in Cleveland. Hopefully I can hit on a few of these picks lay a solid foundation for the future. But it's going to be a while until I'll be thinking about contending again. In all honesty, I hope I know what I'm doing. It's definitely going to be a huge challenge.

Just because a team is trash doesn’t mean they are tanking. My opinion is that neither of the bottom three we’re tanking and they all got hosed in the lottery. A draft system that punishes bottom feeders and rewards teams that barely miss the playoffs is a great way to have to find new owners every offseason.

In this case I think part of it is that we had to do our own system due to the oddities of the NHL draft, instead of being able to just match up teams and go off the NHL results. The NHL draft as I understand it has a lottery for the top 3 spots and then everything after is based on the previous year's standings. The method we used this season was obviously more open since Pittsburgh, the team with the worst record, dropped all the way to 7th. Normally they should have not been able to drop lower than 4th.

And this has already been addressed moving forward in the G as well, no team will drop further than 3 spots moving forward.

Though I did trade one of my three firsts to him as well, I think the difference though is that it wasnt just randomly picking up an asset as I am trying to compete, compared to people who just pass out all their draft capitol or other assets like candy and then wonder why they're spinning their wheels.
