In Scott's defense, in Corrections there are written rules and there are unwritten rules! Sometimes an unwritten rule you follow for years and years but it's not written in plain English but you still follow the rule. Sometimes that's how it is in any profession. I'm not saying that your wrong Chris but if it's been this way then in other leagues I'm in it's called "take it on the chin" Maybe in the future they can update and put it in the rules say for next year or the year after. You didn't have to put in your comment that he is in the "correctional" business.

Do you want to continue to be ruled by the unwritten? Ruled by the written?
What we have here, and it's been popping up more frequently, is suggestive ideas/rules that are vague and all encompassing. We have time to stop the train and address issues...but we never do. I'm merely pointing out another issue. Irregardless of the players, it is the point that there is another issue that needs to be "either written into the rule or the rule needs to be upgraded to address the point." That's not being said! Instead, some people are saying, well, that's the way we've been doing it...So, that's what we're going to keep doing.
Maybe, you should have stood up and pointed it out when it happened to you (hypothetically). I'm doing that now. It's not specifically addressed, but it needs to be.
I don't care if I lose both players...but at least put it into the Rules so there isn't confusion. Let's have more clarity.
I'm no fan of vagueness. 13 Seasons completed...we can't get an updated Rule Book? Historical Stats?

Boys, Any player in the "ON BOOKS - NO CARD" section of your team page whose contract doesn't expire this year (2023) will be hitting your books. If a player is showing up in this area and does have a 2023 expiration year, this means that he is a RFA without a card. If you don't retain them for 100k, you will lose your rights to them if they have a card in subsequent years. For me, Formenton, Morand and Saarijari all were expiring RFAs with no card. I decided to retain the rights to both Formenton and Saarijari but to leave Morand's contract expire. I also extended Bokk for 100k as he played in Europe all of last year. Below is what my team page looks like after I made my decisions. I don't believe I will be waifving anybody but need to finalize that in the next day or two as that would need to happen prior to UFA starting on Thursday. The bottom line is you want to make sure that you decide what you want to do with all of your players without cards because if their contracts aren't expiring this year, they will be hitting your books in full for the upcoming season (and possibly beyond).
