As discussed, I am looking to make these salaries a little closer to what we see int he NHL. This is the first cut of the new formula for review. Please have a look and let me know your initial thoughts.

The players base is being driven by the average of their card or last years card whichever is better. This is the angle the agent would be playing as well.

A couple of things pop out at me, Defense seemingly asking a little more than they have in the past, which I like. Jordan Martinook asking what he is for the card he has seems a little high. Martinook had a 44-27-41 card last season and a 64-61-65 this season, asking $3.654M? Something seems way off there. The minor leaguers seem a little more realistic. Of course I looked at my own players first, Hrivik asking $.925M even with an 8 stamina is much more realistic for a guy who hasn't had a usable GHL card yet.

I think the RFA tier 1 ECL guys at 75% are gonna be ok. Doesn't seem too too bad.

Yes, tiers would be helpful, owning team makes absolutely no difference

Marincin asking 500k less than Trotman? Are we sure the correct emphasis is being put on main composite score. Seems like a lot of emphasis being put secondary composite score for a position.

A 42-87 should be asking a lot more than a 53-74 with the same stamina. Marincin has better overall card and a 13 higher D rating which should be most important in calculating a D asking price in my opinion.

Tarasenko asking less than Riley smith as well, are we sure tarasenko 98 offense being weighted correctly for a forwards asking price

Could be wrong but isn't max savings from asking price 90%? The 75% is if someone bids crazy high and the 75% savings still isn't down to asking price

Didn't know it was 75 of asking price. That's awesome though so Toffoli only really asking 4.5 unless someone wants to give multiple 1sts for him

Good points boys. I also want to run this against not FAs to see what type of prices Kaner/Crosby/etc. would command. I will do some more tinkering and repost results and include some superstar asking prices as well.

Just curious if you can run Grabner and Kopitar asking prices seems like D heavy forwards commanding a lot more then more offensively inclined counter parts. Interesting to see ghosts cards too to see if offensive D are asking more

The 75% of the Tier 1 asking price (1st RFA extension after ECL) thematically (realism) reflects The 'control' that the drafting team has on the young player - morphing into the 'bridge' contact parameters closely resembling the NHL, that we are all hoping to refine.

I'm thinking the theme here is not that the player would 'ask' or a more accurate word would probably be 'settle' , but that the RFA tier 1 is trying to more closely resemble the NHL bridge contracts that we are hoping to get closer to.
