hmmm...I see your point about 'current stats'
I shall continue to monitor the goalie fatigue stats, league-wide and check same for realistic game translation, and report back with my findings.
As a side-result.....if Cornwall is indeed hampered by nerfed 'tending....then THERE is the chance that almost ALL of you need, as otherwise, I doubt I would lose in the Finals this year.

Glenner...
I'm curious to know "HOW" the system selects a goalie to use.
I had my goaltender tandem set at 50/50, but it selected Neuvirth for each game until he got to the point where he is right now ( Fatigued at -1 ).
I was under the impression that 50/50 would alternate the goalies on a team. Whats the true dilly?

I've been curious about the actual mechanics involved in this process too...

This has been explained in a. couple other threads from time to time. The engine is literally flipping a coin for your two 50 50 goalies. You have been getting heads 3 times in a row it appears. Active owner goal assignment is the way to go. 100.@

This is probably in the boards but I couldn't find it. When I goalie goes back from 1 color to the next it's determined by Stamina. And that determines how long it takes. My questions are: 1. Does it go by days or games A. If days what happens if it needs 2 days to go up a full color and they play again after only 1 day of rest. Will it only take 1 day to go back up to a color and 3 to the original or 2 and 4 days? Basically does the engine take into account fractions of whole numbers or is everything an absolute value with no percentage, so if don't hit a benchmark, you start over, even if you were really close. A. If games does putting the goalie you want to rest and build back up help you by putting him on your bench or are you better off playing a 3rd goalie as the back up and having the goalie you want to rest/rebuild not even dressing for the game. 1) Both. It goes by a percentage of games played and number of days since last start. A1) Days are determined as above. There are several factors at play and you are correct, they are on a thread here somewhere but Lord knows where. A2) A goalie gets just as much rest backing up in a game as opposed to not dressing so there is no benefit for him not to dress as a backup.

A question from an "Axis" owner, simply because I remember this being discussed and can't remember the answer. Does a goalie have to be taken out of the starter spot on the roster in order to rest. For example, a team has a 7 day stretch with no games, will the rest rate still apply even if he is left in the starter role for that stretch of off nights.

Good question...based off what I've done this season, I think a goalie needs to sit a game to regain stamina.
"Axis" teams...lol. What about teams like myself and Halifax? Two years in is plenty of time to make oodles of trades and make our own rosters.

Good observation Matt. After every game the goalies status is calculated for what it will be their next scheduled game. Their status is recalibrated after playing or not playing in that next game. It doesn't make a difference if during these off days they are listed as having a chance to start or not, they will rest up exactly the same.

I need a score card to determine who; 1) is a member of the Axis of Evil 2) is not a member of the Axis of Evil 3) wants to be a member of the Axis of Evil 4) wants out of the Axis of Evil There appears to be as much confusion about this as there is in how goalies tire.

Apparently if you drafted your team you are an axis team

That's funy, actually wondered the same last night so while watching tv with the better half, I formulated a list, will create a thread with I came up with in a few
