I don't remember the details but if they still play in Europe you can hold on to their rights on the cheap, I think If they have retired you are SOL

I get that we cant LTIR until after UFA, what about releasing a player with no card? Anyone? I'd like to use that cap space... If the player is/was/did: Dead Injured all year Played Overseas all year You can drop without penalty or retain rights for 100k. If you have players that don't haver cards and didn't meet the above criteria, you can drop one of these with a penalty. If more than one player fits into this cateagoty, you need to eat their salary until such point you can get rid of them (once a year) or their contracts expire. Prospects that do not have a card are retained with no salary hit until they play 20 preofessional games in one season.

Please drop Fredrik Sjostrom and add 522K to my CAP. He played 100% in Europe all of last year and has no card.
3rd time asking.

Also given your propensity to exaggerate, I am betting 2 spice that this is only the second time you asked. Maybe even the first. I know you posted Pronger waived about a half dozen times before the code was re-written to handle the new player tracking...

why would he have to pay a penalty for this? leclaire has no card and isn't retired, no? You can waive one player of your choice. If he would have met the criteria listed above (which he didn't because he has a card), he could have been dropped for free. Making owners responsible for their contracts has been the rule of thumb all 3 years. That is, unless I am missing some information here on this particular case.

While we're grousing about this stuff - I could have sworn I used my one waiver on Conroy - who is retired and is still on my books. Any thoughts on this? Does he not qualify for some reason? I know I got wipe Savard's contract as he was injured all year - and that seems to have been processed as I don't see him on my Team Page anywhere.

Mike, It looks as if you haven't had a player yet who has been waived. You can certainly waive Conroy if you so desire. Just confirm and I will make it happen.

I didnt think so either, but I assumed he did after reading this: You can waive one player of your choice. I thought I had read somewhere that he had a card. Fuck, I don't know. Bottom line is he doesn't have a card, and shouldn't and you don't have to pick a player with or without a card to waive. Having a card is irrelevant to the waiving process.
